Born in 1996, Penelope is the daughter of dancer and dance instructor Sonja Scheidler. A passion for movement was inherited and evoked early on given her mother's occupation. At age 3 she has made her first dance steps and evolved ever since.
In her childhood she attended classes learning various dance styles. Starting with classical Ballet, Contemporary over to Jazzdance, Tap dance and Hip Hop.
However she has found herself most drawn towards acrobatics. At age 9 Penelope started her specialization in Aerial Acrobatics, Handstand Balancing and Contortion. She pursued a training of 10 years under the tutelage of circus artists Doris and Ulf Kirschhofer. Until this day she continued a close work relationship with both in regards of Circus and Theatre productions.
In summer 2012 Penelope joined the renowned Ècole Nationale de Cirque in Montréal, Canada for a specialized further education program.
The young artist took part in the legendary Circus Roncalli in 2011/2012 as handstand balancing and aerial acrobat.
From 2013 to 2016 Penelope appeared regularly in the famous play "Jedermann" at the Salzburg Festival.
In autumn 2016 Penelope joined the award winning magician Timo Marc in a two month tour through China. There she shared her talent as handstand balancer with the vibrant megacities.
From May to October 2017 she was part of the Australian company „Strut'n'Fret“. There she performed contortion in their brandnew show „Love Riot“.
Currently the talented artist is the face of a new brand campaign for the drugstore company dm, appearing in TV spots in which she showcases her abilities.
In December 2017 Penelope is going to perform her Aerial Silk Act and her new Aerial Hoop Act in the German Varieté named „Konzertscheune Calden“ four days a week.
